A short film on EARTH UNIVERSITY
POWERPATHS
POWERPATHS, a pbs independent lens documentary series.
Ok finally a real story about our future potential. Brought to you by the First Nations the of this North American Continent. Great story in so many ways and a highly recommended video for those contemplating green, or sustainability. Imagine one day when all the reservations stand up and say, no more! Say no more Coal, no more, Uranium, no more Electricity. Imagine when the first nations can just say no more power to those who continue to suck up energy from Mother Earth just to continue our extravagant lifestyles . This documentary is great especially the begaining and the end. I applaud this film, but also feel that all peoples should be looking too our immediate future and choosing not having any more resources extracted at all. None!
Timely as Obama meets with Indian Nation to discuss there needs and ideas.
Ok then lets start by giving there land back, and alowing them seats on the senate. No better yet, let there original idea of a league of nations be impletmented without question.
Becoming Human
Thought for November. With thanksgiving coming up once again, I ask myself. What is this thing called ThanksGiving" Pilgram - Indian? Lets start with going a long ways back. Heres some great offerings in November to challenge or offering new insights into our humanity and where we are headed in this place we call AMERICA.
“Rapid change as a catalyst for our evolution.”I heard this in a PBS documentary special Becoming Human
A Nova PBS special which really offers a glimpse into how things can change very fast and in turn effect great change. This is what is needed most on this planet. Great Change and Great Evolution. Here we look back upon our possible past and in turn look into our possible future. Watch the first part of this series FIRST STEPS
and then take an interactive documentary journey with one of the best online interactive storytelling modules. Would recommend downloading to your computer and watching with its own interface vs a browser.
As Thomas Berry suggest we are entering a new era called the ECOZOIC ERA. Prepare for take off!
Happy Columbus Day
Columbus Day brings great sadness to me. Why? Because of what happened to the North American Continent and its people. Its people and its land where raped, maimed and murdered. Until we as Americans get what we did we will never have a real life.
So in honor of Native Americans I offer you a PBS special "We Shall Remain" Whatch this whole PBS series and learn a bit more than what you where taught in your history class in school.
Gorilla Massacre
Photographers Michael Nichols and Brent Stirton explain the significance of the recent gorilla massacres in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
